3D printing with plastic waste

The Perpetual Plastic Project recycle installation is specifically designed for its use at events. With unique manually-operated machines, everyone is able to recycle plastic themselves!

Promoting your company at a trade fair or conference? In a free and easy manner, our interactive machines inspire visitors to get the conversation going about subjects such as the circular economy and responsible plastic use.

Activating and inspiring visitors without pointing fingers? Our recycling experience stimulates collecting plastic waste and lets people experience what it is like to transform an item of waste into a 3D print.

Corporate events

Organizing an unforgettable corporate event or launching a product with a circular character? Tell your story by doing and recycle your (corporate) waste live into a custom 3D printed product.

The machines

The Perpetual Plastic Project experience is an interactive recycling installation in which people use manually-operated machines to recycle plastic waste into a 3D print filament, which is 3D printer ‘ink’. Thanks to the modular set-up and mobile stations, we can flexibly use the space that is available.

How it works

Cleaning and drying

The recycling process happens in different steps At the first station, the plastic waste gets cleaned and dried.

Next, the plastic waste is shredded into small pieces by using two plastic shredders.

The plastic slivers are then melted into a thin thread of filament by the use of a manually-operated extruder. This filament will be inserted into the 3D printer.

3D printing

The recycled 3D print filament is inserted into the 3D printer and becomes a valuable product. We have developed a series of default products which are optimized to 3D printing techniques on events.

Unique 3D print design

With 3D printing, the possibilities are endless! Next to printing our default products, it is also possible to personalize these with a logo or image of choice. In achieving an exclusive experience, we also offer to develop a completely custom-made product.
